Power, Politics and Policy Analysis With Reference to the Muslim World

Abstract
The connection between political power and Islam has been a subject of scholarly attention. The events such as 9/11, the Arab Spring and others have ensued questions regarding the relationship among Muslim countries. It is often witnessed that the geopolitics of the Arab-Islamic world has been much influenced by global politics, while political decision-making from the West has adversely affected the ties among the Muslim countries, whose ramifications are galore in the retrospective political history of this part of the world. With the prevalence of globalization and resulting divergence of approaches, distinct leadership styles have been exper ienced by the Muslim
nations. Despite the Muslim world has resolved a great deal of politico -economic conflicts, the development prospects have scantly been seen in majority of Muslim countries. Thus, it can be inferred that foreign meddling, coupled with the pursuit of power seizure and dominance in the economically -strained Muslim countries, the essence of unity and consensus have scarcely been observed. Taking into perspective these notions, this research article attempts to analyze power, politics and policy analysis by referring to a case study of the Muslim world. It is assessed that balancing of power with public participation is the precursor to resolution of political and socio -economic problems among the Muslim nations.
